Care for You
GRO uses certified organic ingredients. Organic products do not contain traces of synthetic pesticides. Conventional base oils often contain residues of pesticides and other agrochemicals as these are invariably oil soluble and concentrate in the oil phase of the plant.
GRO uses natural active ingredients and avoids petrochemicals. We use plant extracts, some unique to South Africa, for our active ingredients. The human body is better adapted to using natural active ingredients, making them effective in your skin care regime.
GRO creates product that does not irritate the skin. Our product has a maximum irritancy value of 0.13. This is in comparison to deionised water, with a maximum irritancy value of 0.25 and a 1% Sodium Lauryl Sulphate solution, with a maximum irritancy value of 2.24.
Care for the Environment
GRO sources organic plant materials in a fair and ethical way. Organic production is better for the environment. An organic farmer does not expect a 99% yield, and is happy to give a portion back to nature, this may be in the form of birds eating the fruit. By not taking everything out, organic farmers are supporting living soils and farming sustainably. We believe that Fair and ethical trade are part of the organic approach. We base our purchasing on fair trade principals. We have a personal interaction with the farmers that we source from, and support local producers.
GRO recycles. We look at the lifecycle of our products and limit the environmental impact at each stage. We utilize new technology so our customers can live in an environmentally responsible way. All our packaging is recyclable.
